Last questions regarding german setup

Hiho,

RS has brought up the question about differences in possible setting
for the german proposal. We have lost track of this, but I would like
to bring the topic up again. So, a short summary of the different
possibilities.

i) There are two different flags with one level each, called
"gesichtet" und "geprüft". A version is "gesichtet", if the flag
"gesichtet" is one, or "geprüft" if geprüft is one.

ii) There is just one flag called "quality" with two levels. A version
is "gesichtet", if the flag has level one, it is called "geprüft" if
it has level 2.

Currently, the last option is turned on at
http://www.baach.de/phase3de/index.php/Main_Page. Is there any real
difference between the two options? Does it matter which one we
choose?

Hm. The second one has some techical and logical advances:
* You can never have two different flags for the same version.
* It is a gradual differentisation and a conceptualy a little bit similar too
our already used "featured" and "good" articles concept ("Exzellentente"
and "Lesenswerte" article in de.wikipedia).

However a binary flag such as in the first option has its advantages too at
usability on editing. A binary flag does not need a drop down box (time
consuming) or radio button list or other similar list such as on block levels
of articles (screen space consuming). It just need a click trough link/button
(such like the famous "revert button").

As I think it is crucial for the sucess of the feature to make it as easy (and
fast!) as possible applying the lowest quality flag ("gesichtet" in German) I
think a direct click through possibility like in the mockups I did is
important.

So I think the best thing is to use the second option with one quality flag
and two levels and having an easy interface with just a click through link
for people that only can apply the lowest level (only one sine mouse click
needed!). People that can apply both levels should get a radio button list
plus an apply button (two mouse clicks and no scrolling needed like it would
be on a drop down list).
